For doing earth-conscious activities, NITTO KOHKI has obtained ISO 14001 certification and is working on various company-wide activities for environmental improvement.
As a part of such activities, we prohibit or reduce, in our products, the use of certain chemicals designated by us under RoHS directive and other environmental laws. Therefore, our products are being replaced with Environmental Products (which products meet Green Procurement Standard). Please note that some of our products are non-compliant products (which products do not meet Green Procurement Standard) and we will continue to inform you of the update on such products through our website.
Regarding products containing "phthalic esters" that have become a specified hazardous substances of the RoHS (Ⅱ) directive, which would come into effect on July 22, 2019, they have been replaced to alternative materials excluding certain products. Please refer the following "RoHS compliant products" for non-compliant products.

In EU RoHS Directive requires reduction of hazardous substance contained in electric and electronic products so that we can prevent environmental pollution caused by improper disposal of electrical and electronic products or by aging process. The use of following six substances will completely be banned on and after 1 July 2006.
Four substances of phthalic esters were added to the list of specified hazardous substances of the RoHS directive in June 2015. In the EU, the use of the following four substances contained in electric and electronic products excluding medical devices, and monitoring and control instruments will be completely banned on and after July 22, 2019.
