Nitto Kohki group companies' Green Procurement Standard have been established by their environmental committee which consists of members from all the Nitto Kohki group of companies. Nitto Kohki group companies give preferential treatment to suppliers that work to an environmental policy framework. Nitto Kohki group companies periodically survey their suppliers to ensure their chemical management systems include the monitoring of environmental issues such as the RoHS directives, and Japanese laws and regulations of Chemical Substances to minimize packaging and waste. We are continuing our goal to ensure that our made-to-order items are also covered by our environmental policy.
Each of the Nitto Kohki group companies is clarifying the control categories of the environmental management substances included in the parts and auxiliary materials constituting Nitto Kohki products and those of the environmental management substances used in the manufacturing processes. We will promote prohibition and reduction of use of the environmental management substances according to such control categories. Through these activities, we will comply with various laws and regulations related to the environmental management substances and reduce the impact to the global environmental conservation and to the ecological system.
Our Green Procurement Guideline applies to all materials, parts, products, and auxiliary materials which Nitto Kohki Group companies purchase for production or sales.
