Philosophy

Nitto Kohki has exerted every effort to design, develop and manufacture the best quality, most sophisticated and highly reliable products based upon its ingenious technology with a view to realizing laborsaving and improving working conditions in industrial circles.
Nitto Kohki will execute its social responsibility in all aspects with the recognition that the most urgent and important assignment of Nitto Kohki is to reduce environmental load through its business activity together with its contribution to the environment by way of design, development and manufacture of its eco-friendly products.

Company Policy

1.	Dedicating to conserve the environment through its business activity in designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing quick-connecting fluid couplings, machine tools (pneumatic / hydraulic / electric), air compressors and pumps including application products, door closers, etc.
2.	Striving to prevent the environmental pollution through design of environment conscious products, green procurement and green purchase, resource saving, reduction of energy consumption, recycling and reuse program and waste minimization.
3.	Observance of environmental laws and regulations and other commitments agreed by Company to protect the environment.
4.	Setting-up and operation of objective and targets of environmental management system to be set as an integral part of the normal management process and to be continuously upgraded through regular review and reassessment by the top management.
5.	Making all the employees fully versed in Company's environmental policy through educational and awareness programs, as well as disclosing information related to its policy to the public via brochures, the Internet and so forth.

Nitto Kohki succeeded in obtaining ISO 14001 certification effective May 28, 2004. This follows on from obtaining factory-based certification (production subsidiary Tochigi Nitto Kohki Co., Ltd.) and is now underway for all head office departments, from Design through Sales.
Recognizing that it is only just reaching the start line for environmental programs, Nitto Kohki will continue our effort for earth-conscious activities through all our operations. With a sense of urgency that companies with poor awareness of environmental issues will not remain competitive in the market, we are working towards the following objectives.
